Your Rights End Where Another’s Begin
I find this comment odd. It’s all over the place, and many people buy into it, but it’s obviously misplaced. This particular comment below comes from a vivisectionist who responded to “Animal Testing Is Wrong.” He wanted to claim that he should be allowed to kill mice and no one should be able to stop him;
“you have no right to force your opinions upon others”
It’s an odd thing to say because:
- Experimenting on animals IS forcing your opinion on others. Eating animals IS forcing your opinion on others. The ‘others’ just happen to be animals, who are left out of the “debate” on animal rights. They DO feel pain, they DO suffer, they DO deserve better. If they had a voice (or if we listened to their voices) they’d be loud and clear. They’d say, “Stop killing us,” and “Stop hurting us.” Only a monster wouldn’t listen.
- Saying that vegans and animal righters who oppose animal experimentation are “forcing” anyone to do anything is completely absurd. We are not the violent ones. We are not the killers. The animal agriculture industry in the US kills 10 BILLION land animals every year. And by promoting meat consumption, they also kill people (through heart disease, diabetes, cancer) and the planet (through pollution and over-exploitation). The cosmetic industry kills 6 MILLION animals every year for cosmetic testing. Vegans and animal righters kill NO ONE.
- This website is just words and images. I can’t force anyone to read it anymore than I can force them to read the Bible or the US Constitution. When I publish my opinions here, I’m not in any way, shape, or form forcing anyone to do anything. You CHOOSE to read this. You CHOOSE to react to it. You can ignore me and make idiotic claims like the one above or you can do something good for animals: go vegan and encourage others to go vegan. You’re the one with the big, smart human brain. USE IT.
Your rights end where another’s begin. It’s just that simple.

I’ve had some pro-animal abuse people fling this standard out: “I’ll give animals rights when they “ask” for them”… meanwhile they condone every imaginable “force” upon them. Thanks for being their voice -

It’s so frustrating because if they only listened a little more closely, they’d realize animals have been asking for rights for centuries. Every cry in the slaughterhouse is exactly that.
girl,you took the words right out of my mouth, bravo, well done and keep fighting for what you believe in!!
