Why A Vegan Blog?

I started this vegan blog to write passionate vegan articles.

Every now and then I am inspired to talk (preach) about veganism, but many people don’t want to hear it. But when you blog, your readers come to you. They choose to read. You’ve come to my church to hear me preach. I haven’t gone to you; you’ve come to me.

Other vegans started their vegan blogs for their own, varied reasons. I’ve emboldened the parts I consider key:

The Urban Vegan says,

“I started my blog because I was sick to death of the assumption that all vegan food tastes like lawn clippings and is difficult to prepare.”

What The Hell Does A Vegan Eat Anyway
began like this:

“This blog came together because once people know we’re vegan, the first question we get asked is…What The Hell Does A Vegan Eat Anyway?

Vegan Freaks say,

“to blog about being vegans in the world of the omnivores

Eat Air explains,

“When you tell someone you’re vegan, they ask (often incredulously) “What do you eat?!”. We’ll seek to answer that question here. …It’s not that hard eating vegan. Allow us to demonstrate.

The Lazy Vegan wants to foster discussion:

“a platform of discussion between ‘veggies’ and meat-eaters”

Steve Pavlina (blogger first, vegan second) says,

“…it’s a bad idea to feed cows cement dust and bovine growth hormone, to pack live chickens into warehouses where the ammonia from their feces is strong enough to burn their skin off, and to feed 70% of our grain to livestock while tens of thousands of people die of hunger each day. I also think it’s a bad idea to pay people to perform these actions on my behalf. It really doesn’t matter to me that 999 people out of 1000 disagree with me. Your disagreement with me doesn’t change what went into producing your burger. It’s still a diseased, tortured, chemical-injected cow, one that was doomed to a very sad life because of a decision you made. And you’re still responsible for your role in that cow’s suffering whether you like it or not…
I’m fully aware that some of my opinions are unpopular, and I’m absolutely fine with that. What I’m not fine with is putting truth to a vote.”

And then there’s just the personal reason from Vegan Run Amok:

“having a running blog would motivate me to train, and so far, it’s been doing just that”

  1. Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Thanks so much for giving everyone an exceptionally spectacular opportunity to read from this website. It is usually very cool plus packed with amusement for me personally and my office peers to search your web site at minimum thrice in 7 days to learn the newest guidance you have. Of course, we’re usually impressed concerning the excellent points you give. Certain 4 tips in this posting are undeniably the best we’ve had.
