What Do Vegans Eat?

Every vegan is different. We each have different preferences, tastes, skills, budgets, and lifestyles.

So, there isn’t just one way to be vegan. There are tons of different types of vegan diets.

Here’s a sample of what I eat, three days worth of vegan food:

Breakfast: oatmeal sweetened with maple syrup, coffee with soy creamer
Snack: apple and peanut butter
Lunch: spaghetti and marinara sauce with a side salad and steamed veggies
Snack: chocolate almond milk or soy yogurt (fortified with B12)
Dinner: veggie burger, baked potato, and green salad

Breakfast: commercial breakfast cereal with soy milk
Snack: banana
Lunch: bean and rice burrito with grilled veggies
Snack: pita bread and hummus
Dinner: vegetable and tofu stir-fry

Breakfast: homemade vegan pancakes and calcium-fortified orange juice
Snack: handful of cashews and dried fruit
Lunch: avocado and tomato sandwich
Snack: strawberries or watermelon
Dinner: lentil soup, cornbread, and carrots
