Weekly Paper Features Vegan Thanksgivings

New Times, a weekly newspaper for the San Luis Obispo County, California, area, featured vegan Thanksgiving celebrations this week. The local vegetarian group I belong to is featured first in this article (Central Coast Vegetarian Network, based also in the San Luis Obispo area). The article is positive and thoughtfully written, which we think can be attributed to the time the reporter put into it (he spent over an hour with us with his notebook and tape recorder). Congratulations on this – I live in SLO and will plan to participate next year. I am vegan and my daughters are vegetarian and we just do not enjoy the food or celebration at either “grandma’s homes”. Please encourage New Times to revisit the story again next year in advance of Thanksgiving.
