I created a new website: Week Of Vegan.
I took pictures of every single food item I ate for an entire week. It’s a visual food diary.
The idea was to help keep myself accountable for the foods I eat and to help prevent myself from overindulging while on vacation.
But it has other practical applications:
It shows nonvegans what kinds of foods vegans eat as a whole set. It shows a week’s worth of food rather separate recipes for individual meals. For example, many people don’t understand that vegan meals don’t require meat substitutes. This website provides a small variety of vegan options in a visual meal plan.
Now, I was on vacation and I’m not a nutritionist, so it’s not a perfectly balanced weekly meal plan. But it is a week’s worth of food. It’s a true and accurate reflection of my current eating habits.
I’m hoping to add more weeks throughout the year. And I’m hoping perhaps the idea will catch on and other vegans might want to contribute to this blog or do their own week of vegan food blog.
What say you? Want to create your own week’s worth of vegan food visual diary? Go for it!
