Visit A Virtual Factory Farm – Meet Sanctuary Animals – Go Vegan

Farm Sanctuary launches the Virtual Experience:
virtual experience
Explore… and meet first hand the ambassadors of Farm Sanctuary…
Investigate and learn of factory farms from breeding to slaughter….

Some images are graphic and painful to see… Of course there’s no need to do so if you’ve eliminated animal products from your life… But if you haven’t and don’t think consuming meat & animal products contributes to cruelty and violence – you’re obligated at least least to be informed of what the animals have no choice but to endure every day…

I think you’ll find there are many wonderful reasons to Go Vegan.

  1. I think that’s such a neat idea.

However, one thing is missing in the virtual experience that’s not missing in the live experience. When you visit the Farm Sanctuary in person, you’re asked to be vegan while on the farm. In my life, that mere request meant so much. It helped me go vegan :)

  2. Yay Farm Sanctuary!

The vegan plea is not absent from this virtual experience. At the end of the tour they ask you to visit vegforlife.org.

I don’t think you can replace the experience of meeting rescued farm animals in person – looking into the eyes of a cow and seeing her as not much different than your dog at home – but this cute little virtual tour is still great, especially for those who can’t make it to the actual sanctuary.

  3. Whoops, guess I ended it too soon to see the plea.
And of course, there is an implied plea throughout the experience.

  4. My girl Joan is in there! In the pig barn! I adopted her! What a wonderful treat to see her featured in this virtual tour. Now I’m crying!

Forgive me, fellow vegans, while I strut around as the proud farm animal adoptive “parent”. I love you Joan!!! xoxo

  5. Wow, such a great tour, especially the videos! I think what really captures people’s attention is how the farm animals, like the goats, frolic and interact in a way of animals most people are familiar with- dogs and cats. It really helps people (and me) make the connection of factory farms and how these animals are living, breathing, feeing creatures- to how they get to your plate. It’s not about mom’s sunday morning scrambled eggs or dad’s holiday roast beef- these are animals enslaved and forced to suffer in inhumane conditions, and end up slaughtered, organic free range or whatever. Thanks for sharing, I feel even more at peace knowing I make a difference! :-)
