Taste of Health, Western Canada’s largest vegetarian food festival, invites you to rub carrot sticks with raw food enthusiasts, local restaurateurs and meat abstainers of all stripes at the 10th anniversary edition this weekend. Friday night’s gala at the Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Dr.) will feature the cooking of Isa Chandra Moskowitz (author of Veganomicon), a presentation from Howard Lyman (the “mad cowboy” cattle rancher turned vegan activist) and a sampling of vegan wines (yes, they do exist) from the Okanagan Valley’s Blasted Church Vineyards.
