Veggie Grill Review
I was recently fortunate enough to eat at Veggie Grill.

The Veggie Grill is in the Los Angeles area right near LAX airport. They have another location on the Irvine University campus, too.
This place is awesome! They need to franchise and open up restaurants all over the country. It’s incredible and it’s perfect for both vegans and cross-overs (people who are part-time vegans or mixed vegan/non-vegan groups).
The restaurant is fast-food-ish in that you order at the counter, get a number and it’s brought out to you - quickly. But it’s anti-fast-food in that it’s healthier, tastier, and not served on disposable plates.
I ordered Chill Out Wings, Stormin Kale, and Carrot Cake. My mom ordered the V-burger and cheesecake. So tasty! They also serve wine, which makes it feel a bit European
The restaurant has plenty of outdoor space, so if you have a dog dining with you, you’ll be OK out there in nice weather (luckily, Southern California usually has nice weather).

Do you live near any 100% vegan or vegetarian restaurants? What are your favorites?

OMG, I would love for there to be a place like this near my job. I would love for them to be anywhere on the East Coast! Their menu sounds so delicious. What a great idea.
My favorite veg restuarants are:
in NJ: Veggie Heaven in Parsippany ( http://www.veggieheavennj.com/ )–not the best but I must give them points for being all-vegan, a rarity in NJ. Also, their BBQ pork is addictive.
in Philly: swanky Horizons ( http://www.horizonsphiladelphia.com ); Govinda’s ( http://www.phillymag.com/best_of/12935 ) for really great dessert and a nice junk food-y chicken cheesesteak; Golden Empress is not all veg but they have 2 menus–one omni, one veg and they are my favorite Philly Chinese stop I’ve found; Blue Sage’s menu nicely highlights fresh produce ( http://www.bluesagegrille.com )
in California: Native Foods ( http://nativefoods.com/ ), Veg-n-Out in San Diego ( http://vegnout.net/index.html )
My boyfriend and I are going to the vegan meccas of Portland and San Francisco in a few weeks and I can’t wait to eat and eat and eat!
Ooooh! Try Millennium in San Francisco! That’s where I ate the best meal of my life.
I have yet to experience Portland. Honestly, I worry if I visited I’d never want to leave
herbivore in san francisco is my favourite restaurant in the universe. http://www.herbivorerestaurant.com/
in san diego there’s:
vegan zone, in pacific beach http://www.veganzonesd.com/
sipz, mostly vegan http://www.sipz.com/
native foods in palm springs/costa mesa is also one of the best, they have a great cookbook too.
by universal studios is vegan express, another excellent cafe.
http://happycow.net/ has the best listing of good food that i know of! the purple cow provides! i think they have a mobile version for your cell phone road trip hippie!
