I agree with all of your advice except the rage part. I'm not seeing how rage is ever "justified." I don't need my feelings to be justified. I need them to be effective, and it's my view that rage is kind of internal violence, as opposed to understanding and love. But, anyway, great article. I intern with COK and have leafleted for them a number of times. However, I have never fully agreed with their "look professional" advice. That's kind of biased, isn't it? If you're leafleting in Farragut North where there are people walking around in suits everywhere, go for it. But not in Columbia Heights where lots of lower class people and Hispanics are just walking around with their kids. ~ Recent blog post: Eating 'organic poultry' still violates a life ~
