“They found widespread tail-docking and barren pens, both banned by EU law, the use of heavily criticised systems for confining pregnant pigs, sow stalls on the Continent and farrowing crates in Britain, and dirty and overcrowded conditions.”
FYI, US standards tend to be LOWER than the EU standards.
