The Obamas Will Adopt A Rescued Dog!

Ecorazzi reports:

Michelle Obama announced yesterday on Entertainment Tonight that her family was indeed planning to “adopt a rescue dog,”

Hurray!
Hopefully, this will inspire others to rescue, rather than buy, dogs.

  1. Dogs can be vegetarian - even vegan; so adopting a dog (rather than a cat) from a shelter will not impede their going vegan (or at least vegetarian) at some later date (presumably AFTER the election!).

  2. The Obamas are gong to find lots of happiness as a family: likely winning the election, the four family members all love one another, and sharing their family’s love with a rescued animal is ever greater. How much more happiness can one family enjoy?

  3. Just wanted to let you know that your home page says you recommend “The Politics of Food” blog. I went there, and it hasn’t been updated since February.

  4. I think you can still be a vegan and rescue a cat. Those are not mutually exclusive.
