Swine Flu Facts

Here are some Swine Flu (also known as “H1N1 flu”) facts:
- “Studies have shown that 30% to 50% of commercial U.S. swine have been infected with swine flu.”
- “Recent studies have shown that 15% to 25% of swine farmers might have been infected with swine flu viruses, as well as about 10% of veterinarians.”
- “outbreaks in pigs are common, especially during winter months.”
- “The number of subtypes and strains of flu virus circulating among U.S. herds has complicated swine flu vaccine programs”
- “some cases of human-to-human transmission have been reported.”
Information source: from the US Center for Disease Control (CDC) brochure entitled “Swine Influenza (Flu) in Pigs and People” at

Image is also from the same source. That’s an American pig farm.

Although swine flu did originate from pigs not all pigs have the virus. In fact i believe that we will see other virus coming out of farm animals because this could have easily been avoided if farmers would stop trying to mass produce and leave animals huddled/sick/filthy. Its a shame that they are considering killing all those pigs in Egypt.
It is also important to learn the facts about the medications currently being used to treat swine flu. I copied an article from worstpills.org into my personal journal. Worst Pills, Best Pills, is a nonprofit organization that takes no money from drug companies, and offers information about a host of drugs that you may not find elsewhere. It is a subscription site, so I am not sure if all of the info on swine flu is available to everyone, which is why I copied it to my own journal.
