Vegan Starter Kits For Beginner Vegans

Vegan Starter Kits For Beginner Vegans

Vegan starter kits help omnivores make the transition to veganism. The kits usually provide reasons for veganism, recipes, and sometimes they include coupons or resources for vegans. You can make your own starter kit by compiling basic vegan information into a simple booklet, like a mini magazine. Or you can use a pre-made starter kit from a major pro-vegan organization.

Here’s a very simple form of activism anyone can do: give vegan starter kits to friends, family, and strangers. You can start small. Just send a kit to a friend or family member who has expressed an interest in learning more about veganism. Then, if you’re comfortable, you can hand out the kits at parades and special events or in shopping malls or other public places.

Or here’s another way to use the kits: Say you or a friend are in a situation where someone else prepares your meals. For example, you’re a college student with a meal plan or your vegan friend is in the hospital. Give a starter kit to the chef or cafeteria boss so they can learn about veganism and prepare proper foods for you or your friend.

  1. COK also has awesome bumper stickers and great pamphlets on eating sustainably. Shameless plug!

  2. Well, you got me.

I came to this page - Vegan Starter Kits For Beginner Vegans - hoping to get a vegan recipe or two and the names of some local shops or restaurants, and maybe even get some advice on supplementation. Instead I found a picture of a guy vomiting blood.

    Way to create an aversion.

  3. Hi Leslie,
    It’s a video actually.

It’s a montage of animal cruelty issues. The man you describe is mimicking bulls in bullfights, an exceptionally cruel form of animal exploitative entertainment.

I’m sorry if the image disturbs you.
