Senseless Selfishness

SuperVegan reports:

“I eat a lot of cashews, but if researchers in Japan have their way, there’ll be less in the supermarket for me and more on feedlots, since the nuts appear to cut greenhouse emissions made by cattle. Not to be outdone, New Zealand scientists are looking for a vaccine.”

Ugh. It’s like driving a hybrid SUV in Manhattan. Sure, it’s a hybrid, but it’s also an SUV and it’s Manhattan, so, it’s just, kind of, selfish.

Hey, I have an idea. Instead of trying to make animal agriculture less of a burden on the environment, why not go vegan? It’s better for your health, anyway. I mean, if anyone’s going to be selfish, then they should really be selfish. They should give a damn about staying alive.

  1. Weird. Why not just eat the sodding nuts and stop breeding cows?
