If people wish to feed animals any content restricted diet care has to be taken with the provision of essential vitimins minerals etc. Therefore it is essential that expert information is available. (the same goes for human diet)
This book is welcome to guide people who want to follow their convictions and look after their dogs

Obesity in dogs can cause arthritis. It can also be caused by a traumatic injury that may have occurred and created joint stability. Tearing a ligament can cause it too. Genetics can cause joints to weaken and become unstable, this happens in hip dysplasia. Sometimes young dogs develop joint problems and it is created from improper bone development.

Thanks for posting this. I will obtain a copy of this book. He joined our family before I became Vegan and I kind of have to feed him products made, in part, of animal by-products. I think almost all grocery store products for dogs are like this, even the dry kibbles. I do know that my dog prefers my Vegan cornbread to anything in the kitchen.
