Reverse Type Two Diabetes With A Vegan Diet

Type Two Diabetes is the leading cause of heart disease and stroke in this country and being diagnosed can feel like a life-sentence. But Houston cardiologist, Dr. Baxter Montgomery, says you can reverse Type Two Diabetes and heart disease if you’re willing to make some healthy changes to your diet.

Note: If you’re currently using insulin, you will need to adjust your dosage (reduce the amount) while changing your diet. This should be done under a doctor’s care.

  3. I am a diabetic on insulin, and 2 oral medications. It is my desire to get off the insulin, and medication, or to minimize to the lowest.

    Not eating meat will be hard but worth the sacrifice to have a healthy body. Eating veggies will be easy I will just have to learn how to do meal planning and preparation in advance.

  4. I met Gene F at a chiropractor’s office. He told me that he had lost 50 pounds in about a 7 month period using Dr. Baxter’s diet……….I lost 27 pounds on a different diet, but have been at the same weight for the last 3-4 months——-unable to lose any more. I definitely will check into the fruit & veggie diet.

  5. I think a special diet can help you control Diabetes type 2 but for a lot of people it won’t be as dramatic as Fox says here.

  6. The proof is in the pudding. Countless people have reversed their diabetes through diet. A low fat vegan diet or raw foods diet helps tremendously.

  7. It takes awhile. Don’t expect results overnight but I’ve been doing this for about 3 months now and I’m starting to see lower readings. Yes, I’ve lost about 12 pounds. I’m 167 lbs. I used to be about 180 – 184. At one point I weighed 194 on a frame of 5’8″ That was about ten years ago. Also, the video of the game reserve in Africa, where the water buffalo come back to save the little water buffalo led me to believe that animals think and have feelings. So, that’s pretty much when I quit eating meat, fish and dairy. I still cheat once in awhile and have an egg now and again, but not very often. It’s worked best for me. I had janumet oral agent and now I’m not taking anything but my diet and I am exercising as much as possible. Also, I try to get a little hungry everyday. I’m usually not hungry in the morning because of the dawn phenomenon but everyone’s different so I try and postpone breakfast for an hour or two.

  8. I used Dr. Montgomery’s Detox Diet. I only ate fresh fruit and veggies, and nuts for 20 days. Talk about results!! I never felt better. Thanks Dr. Montgomery. We really are what we eat.
