Repeat As Necessary.

A while ago I made a video that simplifies some of my feelings about veganism:

Your food choices are a reflection of your values.

If you care about animals, the planet, or other people, and you’ve been educated about modern animal agriculture, and you have the ability to make your own food choices and a tiny bit of willpower, then you won’t eat animal products.

You will go vegan.

I am willing to help make your transition easier. I will give you tools and encouragement to do the right thing. But you already know what the right thing is.

You know you should go vegan.

Sometimes doing the right thing takes practice. It’s OK to make mistakes, we all do. We’re human and we’re fallible. But even though it’s hard sometimes and even though it takes some getting used to, you are going to do it. And you will do it well.

You are going vegan.

Say it with me now: I should go vegan. I am going vegan. I will be a vegan. I am a vegan-in-training. I am vegan-in-spirit. I am vegan. I am vegan. I am vegan.

Bookmark this. Re-watch the video. Re-read the words. Repeat as necessary. Keep practicing until you get it right. And then help someone else do it, too.

One Response to Repeat As Necessary.

  1. Excellent! This video really hits at the crux of the matter. Few people really want to connect the dots between what is on their plate and how it got there. Hopefully it will cause some to pause and think about being consistent in their behavior.
