People don't realize what amazing little creatures they are, or how very, very badly they are abused, especially around this time of year. The domestic rabbit is promoted as an excellent, "low maintenance" pet for small children, and nothing could be farther from the truth. They're delicate little animals with major personality, which bodes not well for their interactions with children.
