Prepare For Blog Action Day

Prepare For Blog Action Day

Blog Action Day” is October 15, 2009. This year’s theme is Climate Change.

The concept of Blog Action Day is:

“One day. One issue. Thousands of voices.”

The idea is that if a significant number of bloggers write about the same issue on one day, the collection of our voices is heard louder and stronger than if we blog alone.

Why Climate Change?

“Climate change affects us all and it threatens more than the environment. It threatens to cause famine, flooding, war, and millions of refugees.”

“Given the urgency of the issue of climate change and the upcoming international climate negotiations in Copenhagen this December, we think the blogosphere has the unique opportunity to mobilize millions of people around expressing support for finding a sustainable solution to the climate crisis.”

Of course, there is one thing we can all do with or without the help of our governments. We can all go vegan! So that’s what I plan to write about. I think a few other bloggers will write about that, too. A quick search for vegan retrieved these Blog Action Day participating blogs:

Do you have a blog? Will you be participating?

One Response to Prepare For Blog Action Day

  1. Its really sad to see how many people don’t take the climate change serious. We had now the financial crisis and now will follow the food shortage crisis. And climate change will just make it all worse.
