I think we have to get out of that restrictive opinion that it's wrong or naive to care about Others. We have minds (and hearts) that grasp suffering beyond what happens to us - To act accordingly to these thoughts and emotions is not only the right thing to do, but is a "sacred duty". This was my favorite line of thought in the article:
