Millennium Vegan Restaurant

I ate the best meal of my life in San Francisco.

I chose a chard and lentil roulade with a side of rosemary artichoke and potato gratin. After one bite I regretted eating some bread before my meal. In fact I regretted eating lunch. It was so tasty, so filling, so heavenly.

It was fabulous. Really, it surpassed Candle 79.

There was no room for dessert or even tea. In fact, I couldn’t even finish it all. It felt like a crime to stuff myself full of a meal that deserved thoughtful bites. If I couldn’t savor it I didn’t want to eat it at all.

But I ate it anyway. I ate too much. And still took home a doggy bag. And refused to give it up to a beggar.

Thank you Millenium, for reminding me of what gourmet (vegan) food tastes like.
