Mark Hawthorne recently interviewed a newly veg filmmaker. Shane Close went veg for 90 days and documented the process from meat-eater to vegetarian to vegan to raw vegan through film. His movie is called “Meatless” and it should be coming out soon at film festivals.

On his website, Shane says:

This film is my journey to better understand the vegetarian lifestyle, find out why people become vegetarian, and ultimately to take the plunge and see if a vegetarian diet can fit a meat-lover’s lifestyle. I am going to find out if I can go meatless

In Hawthorne’s interview, Meatless Shane said:

I think there are a lot of average Joes out there like myself who are completely ignorant to vegetarian diets, what it means, why people do it and especially how easy or difficult the transition is.
