Isn’t it interesting how once an animal ends up in animal control, it’s hands off? One of my favorite examples of Francione’s aptly termed moral schizophrenia. I’ve noticed that in shows like “Houston Animal Cops” (hi, I’m addicted to Animal Planet) farm animals who are rescued are tenderly cared for and homed with rescues or sanctuaries, regardless of what they were intended for.
