Making A Difference Without Going Vegan

Some sage advice from Martha Flumenbaum:

A little more apples, a little less Applebee’s.
Keep the chili but lose the Chili’s.
Have a burger but don’t have Burger King.
It’s disposable eating so let’s dispose of it.
If you can’t cut meat out of your diet, cut down, cut back.

I think veganism is the moral baseline and anyone who is serious about protecting animals, the environment, and human health will go vegan.

But I understand that most people can’t or won’t go vegan overnight. However, they can reduce their meat consumption overnight. They can eat fewer animals.

People who make small changes – by reducing their animal product consumption – will do more for animals, the environment, and their health than they’re doing now. They can make a difference even if they never go vegan. Because let’s get real here, eating vegan meals sometimes is better than never eating any vegan meals.

  1. A step in the right direction is better than none. Absolutely agree… I really believe if people could eat more vegan meals they would surely realize they were not sacrificing taste (or nutrition) at all!
