Only Soy I eat is fermented, Miso and tempeh. Soy can be dangerous and produces too much estrogen.
Michael, that’s not really true about soy. You’d have to eat ridiculous amounts for it to reach dangerous levels. Relax.
Eccentric Vegan – I am always worried about overdoing my soy consumption. So I find your post reassuring. From research I have found that avoiding Soy from GMO foods can limit your risks. I do end up eating quite a bit of processed Soy, but I do try to limit my consumption. I am just a baby Vegan though and have much to learn!

I’m also a “baby” vegan, but was a vegetarian before I went vegan, and have heard about the dangers of soy. I think it’s just one of the rumors that get started about all of the products that are on the market out there these days. You can get cancer from diet soday… if you drank like 80 gallons a day, things like that cause public fear all the time. I don’t think anyone has anything to worry about with soy.
Sometimes I take it for granted that I live in Portland Oregon which has so many vegans options everywhere that I don’t even have to search anymore.
