Team Vegan is a fundraiser to support Vegan Outreach’s Adopt a College program. Every dollar raised will help activists reach more students with Vegan Outreach’s booklets.

The fundraiser runs from May 1 through June 30, 2011. The “team” consists of advocates who participate in an activity such as running or baking during the fundraising period. Donors choose team members to donate through and help them reach their goals.

There’s only about two weeks left so hurry! The remainder of the overall goal is $20,500. “It sounds like a lot, but every drop raises the sea.” This year I joined the team. And of course I procrastinated a bit and I’m late. But I’m gung-ho! I’m calling my project “20/20.” It’s in two parts: I’m going to swim and I’m going to leaflet.

My goals are:
1) to swim 20,000 yards in June 2011, and
2) to bump Vegas Veg’s leafletting total to 20,000 leaflets by the end of June 2011.

Vegan Outreach “preaches to the convertible” by focusing on college students. Since 2003, Vegan Outreach leafleters have handed booklets to over 5 million students.
