Happy Birthday, Vegan Soapbox!

Happy Birthday, Vegan Soapbox!

Today, we are three years old!

The Soapbox began on July 20th 2007 when omnivores on a nonvegan blog told me to “get off your soapbox.” I thought about that and realized, I don’t have a soapbox. So I created one. And I used the nonvegan blog as a model.

The Vegan Soapbox is a group blog that features news, views, and stews.

The elements are: a) personal diaries, b) social commentary and pop culture reviews, c) links and resources, and  d) discussion.

It’s an online portal into the vegan world.

To celebrate Vegan Soapbox’s birthday, please post a link to another vegan blog in the comments. Let’s feature other great vegan bloggers!

  1. I adore “vegansaurus!”. It’s a San Francisco blog, and I’m in Denver, and I still read every durn post, that’s how much I love it. They are the ones who created the vegan Double Down in response to the recent release of KFC’s abomination-wich.

I try to keep a vegan recipe blog myself, because like most people, going vegan turned me into a foodie and I’m pretty sure that collectively, we’re close to having more vegan recipes online than non-vegan ones. But man, keeping up with a blog is hard! (That, and I broke my camera, and no one wants a recipe without photos.) I admire and appreciate all the work put in to this one.

  2. Oh, duh, the link: http://vegansaurus.com/. On second thought, you probably could have Googled it. Oh well.

For what it’s worth… 2.5 years ago it would not have been half as easy for me to remain vegan if not for this site and the compelling posts therein.
