Not to toot my own horn too much, but I think I’ve written good stuff. Here are some samplings of my vegan verses. Feel free to copy and use them yourself (if you’re vegan):

• We all draw lines. For meat-eaters, their line is between pets and farm animals. They won’t eat dogs but they will eat pigs. My line is less complicated: I don’t eat animals.
• Two kinds of people kill animals for a living: the ones who want to and the ones who don’t. Do we really want either kind of person killing animals?
• Whenever something goes in or out of your mouth, try to make sure your ideas about it correspond with reality.
• There are only two ways to go vegan: slowly or quickly. You choose.
• Sometimes doing the right thing takes practice. Forgive yourself when you’re imperfect, but don’t use your failures as an excuse to give up trying.
• The demand for “humane” animal products already exceeds the supply. What we need now is less demand for factory farmed animal products, not increased demand for so-called humane animal products.
• If you’d reject food based on trivial things like taste preferences, then ethics and health should be enough reason to reject foods, too.
• Why not make a difference instead of just being different? Go vegan, but don’t stop there. Get other people to go vegan, too.
• Animal advocates are not the voice of the voiceless. Animals have voices. We just have to listen to them.
• People who eat meat nowadays are participating in an experiment. They are eating breeds of animals that have only existed for a few decades.
• Get your priorities straight. If you care about animals, the planet, and/or your health, then stop eating animals.
• What will our planet look like if we don’t stop treating animals like meat before they’re even dead?

So now that I’ve patted myself on the back, I think I’ll go make myself a vegan turkey sandwich.
