WOW the Kingsolver's REALLY need to get a grip and stop defending MURDER and flesh aka "meat". I hate those people who try to put veganism down when they find out we are thrivving on it, and we didn't even necessarily try to explain the horrors of their omni-diet! tis, tis... :0

Thanks for the very informative post. I've had this book on the back of one of my bookshelves since two Christmases ago, after I went vegan, from my parents, who thought I'd be interested in it. I knew that it involved the consumption of turkeys, but was still going to read it. But now, after reading your review, I have marked it as a waste of time.

veganprimate, Kingsolver is a writer of good fiction, actually. I have enjoyed several of her books. That just makes it worse.

Ugh. This is horrible! Who is this Kingsolver anyway? Her name kinda rings a bell as an author of trashy fiction. Is that her? I can't stand righteous animal killers who think they're doing god's work or some such b.s.

"When there is no need for milk a mammal stops creating it."

The myth that cows "need" to be milked is one the most frustrating things omnis say. It's as if they never took biology, never took sex ed, never understood what milk is.
