WOW the Kingsolver's REALLY need to get a grip and stop defending MURDER and flesh aka "meat". Thanks for the very informative post. I’ve had this book on the back of one of my bookshelves since two Christmases ago, after I went vegan, from my parents, who thought I’d be interested in it. I knew that it involved the consumption of turkeys, but was still going to read it. But now, after reading your review, I have marked it as a waste of time.

veganprimate, Kingsolver is a writer of good fiction, actually. I have enjoyed several of her books. That just makes it worse.
