Frequently Asked Questions Of Vegans

Faq
I just recently stumbled upon the Vegan FAQ blog, which seeks to provide omnivores and anti-vegans with the answers to their basic questions. Here are some examples:

Omni: “I can’t worry about animals when so many people are suffering.”
Vegan:

“There is no reason that animal suffering and human suffering have to be separate. There is no reason that you cannot work towards ending both. …when you go vegan, you aren’t just helping animals, you are helping people too. The two issues aren’t separate.”

Omni: “how do you survive?” “You must be really brave” “how do you live without X?”
Vegan:

“carnism/ omnivorism/ non-veganism uses and participates in death and torture for the sake of taste. it involves ruthlessly discarding lives and making sentient beings into objects, just as slavery did to the Africans, just like Hitler did to Jews, just like rapists do to victims. It enforces the false belief that might makes right and encourages violence…
The question is not ‘how can we care?’ the question is ‘how can you not?’
The question is not ‘how can we live?’ the question is ‘how can you live with yourself?’
We are not ‘brave’ we are humans treating other sentient beings humanely.”

Omni: “Why are you (vegans) so angry?”
Vegan:

“Vegans live in a very anti-vegan society. We are ridiculed and treated as outcasts for having moral beliefs that run contrary to what most people do without thinking every day. …We’re treated as outcasts for putting our moral beliefs above convenience or comfort.”
