Free Book!

Eric Markus at vegan.com just made an incredibly generous decision to give away his newest book. He says:

“I decided to make the entire text of my Ultimate Vegan Guide available for free online reading. I decided I couldn’t live with the prospect of somebody not reading about how to be vegan, simply because they couldn’t afford to shell out $14.95 for the paperback.”

So what are you waiting for? Head on over and read the book. The chapters are listed at www.vegan.com/ultimate-vegan-guide where you can just click on a chapter title and read that chapter, reading straight through from the beginning to the end or skipping around to the parts that interest you the most.

I scanned the chapters and headed directly to the one on activism. Though the introductory guilt-trip annoyed me the chapter is still chalked full of valuable info. For example, he wrote:

“Imagine this: it’s probable that by investing just thirty minutes doing simple outreach, you’ll keep as many animals out of factory farms and slaughterhouses as you would by following a totally vegan diet for the rest of your life.”

You can do this by leafleting and creating more vegans.
