Flashback Friday: Public Health, Killing Time, & New Vegans
Taking a look back into the Vegan Soapbox archives, we found some prizes.
If you missed them the first time around, please take a few minutes now to catch up.
There’s no theme today, just a variety of good, old posts:
- Public Health Concerns Of Factory Farms – a reminder from the Center for Disease Control.
- Readability & Rights- The most basic task that the animal advocate must achieve is to be understood. We have a duty to make sure our pamphlets can be understood by average people.
- Kill Time, Not Animals – Make vegan videos. Making vegan videos is virtual activism. Your vegan videos will inspire people to go vegan!
- Homeless Animals: Assumptions And Apathy – Though Nathan Winograd went way too far overboard in his criticism of PETA and Ingrid Newkirk, it’s strange that Newkirk recognizes that her position is counter-intuitive, unpopular, and damaging to PETA, yet she doesn’t make a more compelling case to defend her actions. Those of us who desire a world where animals truly matter MUST rebel against the hopelessness within our movement.
- Protect Your Rights While Fighting For Theirs – know what your rights are and how to protect them.
- Links For The New Vegan – a set of useful resources such as links to recipes and nutrition information.
And here’s an inspirational video, enjoy:
