Egg Industry Standard: Extreme Cruelty

The MFA blog reports:

A new undercover investigation at Kreider Farms – a factory egg farm in Pennsylvania – reveals horrific cruelty to egg-laying hens, including hens crammed inside barren battery cages even smaller than the industry standard, where they can barely move an inch for nearly their entire lives.

One Response to Egg Industry Standard: Extreme Cruelty

  1. The idea that we “need” these factory farms to survive is false. Cruelty is inherent in all aspects of factory farming. Chickens are not protected by the Humane Slaughter Act, which in itself, hypocritical.
