DC VegFest Cooming Up

From my inbox:

After a tremendously successful 2009 DC VegFest, COK is once again teaming up with the Vegetarian Society of D.C. to host the 2010 DC VegFest! This free outdoor festival highlights the many benefits of leaving animals off our plates and shows just how easy it is to find delicious vegetarian cuisine in the nation’s capital. In addition to featuring dozens of educational booths, veg-friendly shops, and food vendors, special guests include celebrity vegan chef Tal Ronnen, renowned author and educator Colman McCarthy, and Miss District of Columbia MacKenzie Green.

Sounds like fun. If I lived on the East coast I think I’d be at that VegFest in a heartbeat!

  1. I have just booked my trip to DC and will attend the DC VegFest on September 11. The DC area is home to several animal rights charities, so there is a lot of activity in that regard.

I will share my experiences from the DC VegFest in the Belsandia blog afterwards.
