“If images of scantily clad women being whipped, beaten, tortured, or abused can be obscene—even absent any actual depiction of sex acts—then surely images of scantily clad women crushing to death live animals for the sexual excitement of men can be obscene as well.”
The films of women stepping on or smashing small animals such as mice or kittens and other animals are called “crush videos.” Elsewhere on the HSUS website, readers are urged to take action for these small animals:
Public disgust over this horrifying subculture [of crush videos] prompted Congress to take action. But the U.S. Supreme Court has invalidated the 1999 federal law banning the commercial sale of videos depicting illegal animal cruelty.
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision, the House has approved new legislation, (H.R. 5566)—by an overwhelming vote of 416 to 3—to ban the distribution and sale of obscene crush videos. Now it’s the Senate’s turn. Senators Jon Kyl (R-AZ), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), and Richard Burr (R-NC) plan to introduce a crush video bill in the Senate.

Please make brief, polite phone calls TODAY to your two U.S. senators and urge them to join as “original cosponsors” of the crush video bill that Senators Kyl, Merkley, and Burr will introduce soon. Re: For National Security, Please support abolishment of crush kitten/crush puppy video pornography.
For the interests of national security and fight against terrorism, please SUPPORT HR 5566 (originally HR 5092) which has passed the House of Representatives, requires Senate approval and Senate bill: Crush kitten/crush puppy videos are corrupting America including our young giving rise to new legions of serial killers, psychopaths, and National terrorists. American Psychiatric Association names animal cruelty as a criteria for conduct and Personality disorders.
Anything you can do to support and help pass this Federal bill would be much appreciated to abolish the growing crush kitten/crush puppy video industry in America for a safer society and the fight against terrorism in our Country.
Exposure to such animal torture videos will lead to future Jeffrey Dahmers, violent criminals, national terrorists, and fits FBI serial killer profiling.

PLEASE Contact your state Senators – either give them a simple call in support of HR5566 or email them. We must get more active with our state legislators to fight for the animals. Every contact COUNTS. The more people that call, the more your Reps/Senators, etc. will realize that the issue is important to their constituents and vote the way WE want him/her to vote.
This is a powerful tool that we activists don’t use nearly enough.

This is sickening. How could an individual do this let alone get off to it?!?!?! How is this not already illegal?!?!
I condemned this act. I wish we could do the same to those people killing animals. Kittens and Puppies are defenseless, why don’t they try to crush people like me to find their match!!!!!!YOU SICK COWARDS!!!!!!
