Case Dismissed

Will Potter reports:
A U.S. District Court has thrown out the indictment of four animal rights activists who were charged with violating the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, because the government did not clearly explain what, exactly, the protesters did [that was illegal]
The indictment against a small group of activists only listed legal activities or activities that appeared to be legal. This was why this whole mess was so frightening to above-ground activists and advocates: it seemed to be that the government was declaring that all animal rights activism was criminal merely because it had potential to diminish the profits of animal-exploiters. It was ridiculous! And scary.
Luckily, this judge demanded more evidence of criminal conduct.
