Brad Pitt Is Vegan?
I refrained from commenting on Angelinia Jolie’s recent anti-vegan outburst that’s made it’s way around the veg web. I figured that if I held a spotlight up to Jolie’s comments, it might lend more credence to her misinformed ideas. Expert vegan dietitian, Virginia Messina explained:
“It’s a safe bet that Angelina didn’t understand healthful vegan eating, though. After all, even the conservative American Dietetic Association says that a vegan diet is safe and healthful. Plant-based diets are successfully used in programs for reversal of heart disease and families raise healthy vegan children.”
But I’ve decided to cover this celebrity news here on Vegan Soapbox because it sounds most people missed the most important detail of the story:
Brad Pitt is vegan.
According to International Business Times:
“A source quoted by the newspaper said [Jolie's love of steak] displeased the other half of Hollywood’s power couple. Apparently, Brad Pitt is a strict vegan and does not like the sight of red meat. The actor also does not like his children to eat red meat, too.”
Is it true? Is Brad Pitt really vegan?

Since when is Vegan Soapbox Vegetarian Star?! Come on, who cares?

I hope it’s true that Brad Pitt is vegan. And if it is true, then I hope he will REMAIN vegan and that he will raise his children as vegans.
Well it would make sense for him to be vegan…
Now it’d be nice if he really were and if more people knew about it!
If true, Angie can become a vegan mom, as well as the kids. I raised my child veg, but he is going through a phase off of that path, not extremely, as he can not view most animals the way that carnivores do. He does plan to become a lifetime vegan or veg when he reaches adulthood in a year or two. I find it interesting to research the teachings of most Spiritual Masters. Most religions have abandoned/forgotten/overlooked the compassionate vegetarian teachings (or were forced to, when powers in control throughout History intentionally editing, omitted, burned the texts and references). John the Baptist, Jesus were evidently of the Essene sect of Jews, who followed the original laws of vegetarianism, & all initiates of these two Masters also had to adopt the vegetarian lifestyle in order to become apostles. Actually, reincarnation and “OM”, “Aum” Amun, Amen, the Word, Logos, Tao, String Theory are taught also, and initiation into this “Sound Current” is the purpose of initiation or “Baptism”. This is a metaphysical “Living Water” and through meditation within/ upon it, souls experience the Truth of the Oneness, the Primordial Emanation or Vibration that sustains all. The meditator finds hat there is no Material World, that all is one, nothing is separate, all are drops of the same ocean and therefore, the Ocean itself. This pervasive Energy means that one action or thought is not alone and hidden, but reverberates across creation and beyond. Animals are we, all LIFE is connected. We are never to interfere or harm anything in this Creation. There are quotes from many ages instructing us to eat only of the fruits and seeds.
Although I have never been a fan of Angelina Jolie, I did accompany my partner to see at least one movie she was in. It is now VERY unlikely that I would ever pay to see to see one of her movies again.
It’s always useful to see which celebs are vegan or anti-veg, as they are such immense influencers to those who follow their star cults.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie apparently already had a quibble over their food choices in 2009, but back then it was still a rumor that Brad was vegetarian, which was since confirmed: http://www.ecorazzi.com/2009/07/22/vegetarian-brad-pitt-argues-with-angelina-over-meaty-family-meals/
Of course articles like this don’t help: http://www.examiner.com/celebrity-fitness-and-health-in-national/angelina-jolie-near-death-from-vegan-diet-malnutrition-photos.
Where do these people get their nutrition advice? One would think that they have access to the “creme de la creme” of vegan dieticians and experts. Angelina, Hillary, and Julia: meet Julieanna Hever http://www.toyourhealthnutrition.com/

Adopting a healthy wholefood, low fat, vegan eating habit would ultimately help him to keep his youthful good look a lot longer than his wife, Angelina (and I really mean a lot longer) . This means either Angelina will have to consider doing the same or she might be risking looking a lot older than her husband in ten years time, when their photos are taken together.
Whilst Angelina has a good heart when it comes to her own species and she is not afraid to carry out the good works and she is not one who is submissive to mainstream propaganda and rules, if once she has discovered them to be a pack of lies; and so , there is still a room for her to wake up to the evidence and facts concerning her own health and that of animal cruelty, for her to adopt a vegan lifestyle in the future. She can do it, because she is not a person who is not afraid to embrace significant changes to her life if the changes are known to be an improvement; unlike others who are scared to death to step outside their own boundaries old eating habits, no matter how unhealthy it is – that is, until their doctor tells them they have breast/prostate cancer, then and only then would they probably have no other choices but to knock on the doors of Dr. John McDougall, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn and other similar giants of the medical world.
WOW! you people are simply bigots you ostracize those who eat meat like a leper or a racist reacting to another race.. you make me sick and embarrassed to be a vegetarian.. shame on you for biting your thumb at others and shame on your children for learning those traits from you.. what evidence do you have that what others choose to eat is bad for them I may not eat meat but at least I haven’t disillusioned myself to think that those who choose to do so are wrong for it.. If you don’t start respecting others society will never respect us.
Ben, I’m sorry you’re having difficultly understanding the discussion policy. Respecting others does not mean giving them permission to support cruelty. Respecting others does not mean we need to give them permission to eat animals.
Nonvegans are VERY welcome at this website. It’s only comments that condone and promote animal-eating that are rejected, not people.
Ben,
I think that you are mixing up respecting people and respecting their views. I don’t have to respect someone else’s views. Moral relativism will allow for no future progress. Every major movement in human rights owes it’s success to someone disrespecting another person’s point of view.
People have a right to their own opinion, but they don’t have a right to act on their own opinion. Neo-nazi skinheads have the right to be racists, but they don’t have the right to inflict violence on other people.
Should we ostricize others for being omnivorous? I don’t know that I’d go that far, but I do think that they should be made to feel uncomfortable for making a selfish choice that has a horrible impact on other living beings. No one should be protected for the consequences of their actions.

interesting.. I haven’t found any articles that proves or strongly supports Brad Pitt is vegetarian or vegan. I was waitress at a well known, upscale steak house in Hollywood until 2010. Once I decided to go vegan, I felt it best to move on. Some of my frequent guests were none other than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. He ordered a Ribeye on more than one occasion from me and Angelina has ordered Ribeye, Fish or just a salad.. depended on her appetite I suppose. Anyhow. I want to debunk that Brad is a vegan UNLESS he has become one since 2010. I’ve since gone to work at Cafe Gratitude. All vegan, all organic. Some of our regulars are Jake Gyllenhal, Jason Mraz, Josh Radnor, Alicia Silverstein and most recently, the coolest vegan in the world, Ellen.
Blessings,
Mel
