Bolivia Bans Traveling Animal Circuses

“Bolivian President Evo Morales has signed the world’s first law prohibiting the use of both wild and domestic animals in traveling circuses. [...] To date, Croatia, Singapore, Austria, Israel and Costa Rica have all banned wild animals in circuses. Similar bans on animal use in traveling circuses in Costa Rica, Finland and Denmark only prohibit the use of wild animals or certain species.” (source)

Come on, USA, let’s speed it up! It’s time to ban the use of animals in circuses!

  1. It is good to see that animal rights is getting a foothold in south america. It became time! Lets hope other countries will eventually (rather sooner then later) do the same thing!

  2. the animal need freedom, yes i agree with that, it is time to have a law for prtecting animal from circus abuse

  3. I totally agree. I never liked circusses. Animals have no place, are slaves to others entertainment and again have no freedom because us humans want a little bit of fun. I live on Phuket at the moment. Did you hear of the Phuket Zoo? Its very similar and frustrating how Thais treat animals in there.
