Animals Kill Other Animals For Food, So Why Shouldn’t We?

Q: Animals kill other animals for food, so why shouldn’t we?
A: Predators in the wild kill other animals out of necessity. Without doing so, they would not survive. Humans, on the other hand, kill other animals by choice. Our bodies have no need for animal flesh, milk, or eggs. In fact, medical research has consistently shown that a vegan diet is healthier than a diet heavy in animal products. Eating animals is not necessary for human survival. Rather, it is a choice we make. Is it right for us to choose to cause animals unnecessary suffering because of a mere food preference?

  1. The vast majority of animals are herbivores and do not kill animals other than in self protection.

  2. If man could be more like carnivores we would all be vegetarian. Animals kill other animals because their instinct for survival is a consequence of their intrinsic constitutional nature. Carnivores are coherent in their behavior and the homeostatic equilibrium created among non-human species represents its manifestation. Man has with time acquired a deviant and pathological behavior pattern where the necessity to kill for reasons of survival has become circumstantially incongruous and has been merely substituted by the necessity to please the gustatory cerebral cortex of the addicted and bank account of the panderers at the expense of compassion, personal and environmental health . In this emotional and ethically hypocritical daze all kinds of psychological defense mechanisms are elaborated in order to justify such precious egocentricity. The problem is that the end of this obsessive-compulsive meal comes the bill which humanity and life on this planet can’t afford.
