Animal Rights Are Self-Evident

Thinking Man Represents Philosophy And Logic
Many theorists argue animal rights by extending the human rights umbrella to include animals. But where do human rights come from?

Some believe they’re God given, others think they’re a useful social construct. But the real answer is: It doesn’t matter. It’s irrelevant.

In the US, we’ve created an entire system of morality and law based on the concept that human rights are “self-evident.” And if you ask around, many people will agree that humans deserve certain basic freedoms and that humans have certain, basic rights regardless of race, sex, age, class, sexual orientation, religion, and whatnot.

Well, animal rights are self-evident too.
