ALF Is Effective
Bob Barker, former host of the Price is Right, said:
“I think that the ALF, the Animal Liberation Front, is probably, has in recent years, probably been
one of the most effective, if not the most effective, element of the animal rights movement.”
Whether we choose to participate in ALF style activism or not, we cannot deny its effectiveness.

I agree. Industry understands profit, and some members of the ALF have indeed threatened this profit. However, industry also understands public opinion, which it has made efforts to form in such a way that the ALF is viewed as the enemy; it has been effective. Therefore, the “success” of the ALF is a double-edged sword.

“industry also understands public opinion”
This is why slaughterhouses don’t have windows or video cameras. This is why animal labs and fur farms don’t give tours to the public. This is why the public doesn’t know the truth about what happens to animals used for meat, clothing, science, entertainment and other uses.
