2010 College Veg Pledge

The College Veg Pledge is a campaign to help thousands of college students around the world explore a vegan diet during the month of May. Their goal for 2010 is to collect 25,000 pledges.

Your motivation to go vegan (stats from the Veg Pledge website):

  • If you go vegan one day a week in May, you’ll save 3 animals and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 33 pounds.
  • If you go vegan one meal a day in May, you’ll save 7 animals and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 170 pounds.
  • If you go vegan all weekdays in May, you’ll save 15 animals and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 172 pounds.
  • If you go vegan everyday in May, you’ll save 22 animals and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 255 pounds.

  2. I went vegetarian in college and vegan a few years later, so I know it’s possible to reach this age group. I hope it’s successful.
